June Salamy Krisch Courtyard  Mansfield Connecticut USA

Working with a town + gown committee, the design team transformed a bare connector space into a lush green space with granite stoops for gathering and for impromptu performances. For the surrounding five-story mixed-use buildings, the new courtyard provides an inviting experience for both residential and commercial users alike. This courtyard is dedicated to June Salamy Krisch who contributed much energy and care to the community. Already looking spectacular after four years in the ground, we look forward to watching the oak trees expand into the space to create a comfortable, habitable courtyard Mansfield will enjoy for years to come.
